Only If Club is designed in Auckland by Grace Ghee - a young twenty-something who has dedicated her spare time to producing ultra-comfortable garments that women and men can wear with confidence.

Launched in 2020 amidst the devastating COVID-19 pandemic, Only if Club drew on the resources available at the time to provide a solution that was effortlessly stylish and comfortable, and yet would stand up against multiple wears and trends for years to come.

Sustainability

In keeping with the ‘buy once, and buy well’ ethos that helps form the foundation of a sustainable wardrobe, Only If Club is intent on delivering a premium product that can cement a place in people’s wardrobes for decades.

All Only If Club orders are distributed in compostable courier satchels supplied by the better packaging company which biodegrade in 3-6 months. Only if Club is always looking for ways to make their processes more environmentally-friendly without negatively impacting the price of their pieces; it’s something that will always be kept front of mind each time anew collection is introduced. The next goal on Only If Club’s radar is looking into a more sustainable fibre such as recycled polyester and hemp. Offsetting carbon emissions.

Manufacturing Process

All Only If Club pieces are made in a small factory in Guangzhou using fabrics sourced from the local clothing market. There are only 50 workers at this particular manufacturer, two of which are responsible for the cutting of Only If Club garments and two who are dedicated to quality control. All workers receive living wage and work between the standard working hours of 9am - 7pm with two meal breaks.

By opting for a boutique manufacturer in China, the textiles have a relatively small geographical footprint between the textile production and the garment manufacture before they’re on their way to New Zealand - plus, they’re in the hands of highly experienced and skilled workers who can ensure your Only if Club pieces meet a premium standard.
